Holme Lodge is the home of your hosts, Dawn and Cheryl Pellew. Their residence is situated in a large garden, well known to many KwaZulu-Natal gardeners. Our B&B is accredited three stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and is a member of Kwababa – the “KwaZulu Natal Bed & Breakfast Association”.

LOCATION

Holme Lodge is at 18 Clifton Road in the Athlone suburb of Pietermaritzburg, 4 km from the City Hall and 9 km from Hilton. It has convenient access to the N3 highway and is close to Greys Hospital, Cascades Shopping Centre and Midlands Liberty Mall. There are many restaurant facilities within 2 kms of the B&B.

ACCOMODATION

Holme Lodge offers four well equipped en-suite bedrooms each with:

* TV

* M-Net and sports channels

* Fridge and Microwave

* Fan, Heater and air conditioners

* Iron and hair dryer

* Complimentary Tea and coffee facilities

           

All four suites have separate entrances leading from a secure off-road parking area.

COTTAGE PIE

Three of these en-suite bedrooms are situated in a separate garden cottage, known as Cottage Pie.

Cottage Pie 1 is a large room with a lounge area.

Cottage Pie 2 is a smaller room ideal for a single person.

Cottage Pie 3 has a double bed in a cozy space ideal for single travellers or couples.

THE LODGE

The fourth en-suite bedroom, known as the Lodge, is an extension of the main home, but is completely independent, with its own entrance to the garden and parking area. It is a large room with a queen size bed and generous lounge area. 

  

GARDEN

The Witness

Holme Lodge is situated in a ¾ acre well-developed garden which has been in existence since the early 70’s. The garden has many controlled vistas and surprises which you are welcome to explore. It has been opened to the public many times in spring as a venue for charity fundraising. Lose yourself in this beautiful garden which has a swimming pool to provide comfort on those hot days.

The garden will be open to the public on 6 / 7  and 13 / 14 October 2012.

TARIFFS

The rates for 2012 are as follows:

Double: --R 340-00 pp

Single:--R460-00 / R500-00 pp

This includes a full English breakfast to your specification with many seasonal ingredients grown locally or manufactured on the premises.

Booking is essential and Credit Cards accepted
